Took the Utah and Arizona CCW class. Great. To the point. Lots if info in a short amount of time. Comfortable classroom setting with free cookies from the hotel outside the class. Would definitely recommend. Plan on coming back for some of his other classes. Nice instructor and his father was sweet.

if your looking into getting your concealed weapons license or just want to be a better shot this is the guy to come see. John his dad and son are nice people, the class was fun, educational and they helped me get my grouping closer together. I’m looking forward to my next class with them. Thanks guys

Took my CA El Dorado County CCW class. Very informative. Definitely appreciated having the lawyer presentation as part of the class. Good set up, good room (at the Holiday Inn Express in Eldorado Hills), easy pace to the class. It is a family run operation. Left the class with my certificate and knowing all of the basics. Did not take advantage of the firing range time.

He applies his years as a law enforcement officer very effectively. The range they use for training is very productive and located in a beautiful setting. We arranged an advanced private class to figure out a shooting issue that was causing problems hitting the target. John was awesome and figured out the problem right off and shooting went from all over the paper to 50% in the 9 ring in less than an hour.

Then spent the rest of the time building confidence in defensive shooting. He is very knowledgeable and very quick to diagnose issues. His teaching style is very laid back and very enjoyable. We plan on attending more classes and will not go anywhere else for our firearm training. Thank You!

I’ve been a licensed CCW holder for well over 10 years and have tried many different gun classes and instructors. Since completing my most recent renewal class with Defense Shot, this is now my go to in instruction for not only CCW renewal but also for advanced training. I highly recommend Defense Shot!!

I took 2 classes here with John. The first intermediate class and the second advance class all in one day I can seriously say I am now more prepared to carry a gun as a CCW holder more confidently and I feel better prepared for a real world situation if it came down to it.
